We believe this commitment will provide financial success to all those parties involved.
The lodge is gorgeous, and the staff is great. It's very Europe-in-America (ex: their rooms include actual wood burning fireplaces, but there is no room service), so you'll either love it or say "I see what they did here, and it's great, but it's not my style". My wife and I love it :)
The Trapp Family Lodge and Resort is an amazing place to stay. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is great. There is an Austrian Tea house and a brewery right down the road. My only complaint is that many of the activties offered cost more than I feel they should since you are paying to stay there in the first place.
My wife and I recently stayed at this property. We were truly disappointed in the aging of the accommodations for the price. We had problems with our toilet and noise issues from a wedding on site. If you are looking for a luxury place to stay, this is not it. Save your money and stay somewhere else if you must stay in Stowe. We even reported our facility issue and no one did anything about it. Very poor service. It's over priced and out dated, it's like your stuck in the 1980's. Unfortunately we had just driven over from the more modern Omni Mount Washington Resort in N.H.
Trapp family Lodge was a very neat place to stay. There is a lot of history to go with the Lodge so I would highly recommend asking the very knowledgeable staff about the Van Trapped family. Their food is very delicious and the service was great. The local restaurants are also great!
Well - the spa staff is great and the fitness center is small, but nice. Unfortunately, the reservation team, front desk and housekeeping seem to not communicate and after first arriving to find we did not have the room we thought we had booked, then being told they could move us the next day, then the next day calling us about 30 minutes before we were supposed to move to say no, we couldn't and then having the key cards turned off on us so we could not get back into the room we were told we had to stay in, it was not a great initial experience. Later that night, water started dripping through the ceiling and soaking the bed - they then were able to move us - but the staff that came said there was nothing to be done about the leak, because it was raining and that's what happens...they also did not offer to help move our luggage. There's no good reason anyone should stay here.
