Cute little lighthouse with some history. 20 minute tours every 20 minutes with some knowledgeable tour guides and some pretty cool perspectives of the lake. It has a nice gift shop and you get to hear a smaller version of the foghorn they have there. It's about a 1 hour stop so it won't take too much time out of your day definitely worth checking out. Tickets are $10 or less!

Split Rock Lighthouse was a great experience! It provided tours and educational media explaining it's history. But you are free to explore on your own and will possibly find yourself stacking rocks on the shoreline while staring off into some splendid views. The views are grand— with vast landscapes of the lighthouse and serene views of Lake Superior. You will lose yourself in it's grandeur.

This has always been one of my favorite parks to hike. I visit about every other year and while I divide my visits between different areas of the North Shore each, I make sure to visit this one every time. I cannot even tell you exactly why, but it just draws me in and I love it so much. We qent off trail just a bit for the first time and found little stream surrounded by wild flowers. It was quiet and pretty private and buried in the woods and we felt pretty lucky to have seen it. If you like hiking state parks, I cannot recommend this one enough.

The lighthouse seems to be very pretty, but I have only seen it from afar, from a Scenic Overlook off the highway just to the South. I was not planning on staying long and just wanted to stop to get a quick picture, but it is impossible to see the lighthouse from the actual Lighthouse parking lot. The view is completely obstructed by the welcome center, where you have to pay $10 if you would like to even get a glimpse of the lighthouse.

The only lighthouse in Minnesota. There is plenty to see with the lighthouse, view, and associated old living quarters with actors dressed to that earlier time. They have tours both self guided and paid. There is an entry fee regardless. Parking with large RVs may be an issue as its very busy. With cars there is more space but one could end up parking on the entrance roadway. (Need more parking space) Again plenty to see and explore.
