The 1,150-acre Lake Cadillac is an extremely popular attraction and anglers can expect good catches of perch, walleye, panfish and bass. The quarter-mile canal that connects the two lakes is a popular place for children to shore fish in the park and in the evening, many fish for bullheads.

Hiking: The Heritage Nature Trail starts at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center and is about two and a half miles in length. The trail is actually a study area that supports a variety of plants and wildlife, including whitetail deer, wild turkeys, beavers, great blue heron and other species of waterfowl. The trail is mostly a woodchip path with bridges and boardwalks for an easy hike around the wetland areas.
