MSTF is a non profit corporation with a mission to create and promote a system of well maintained, easily accessible cross country ski and mountain bike trails. These beautiful trails are located off the Beebe Spur Rail Trail between Derby and Newport, VT, with additional access to ski trails on picturesque Lake Willoughby's Mt. Hor.
MSTF trails provide a natural playground for members with a strong emphasis on nurturing the love of outdoor activities in our youth through such programs as the Bill Koch Youth Ski League. The trails vary from railroad flat to precipitous with skate and classic machine grooming on the core network. Maps for other local back country trails are available on this website. Seasonal ski/gear rentals are available for members, to learn more please use the contact form to send us a message.
For mountain bike riders the double track and single tracks offer riding trails for all abilities including beginner to shredder when the snow has melted.  The single track trails are suitable for fat bikes year round but please respect and avoid the groomed ski tracks while riding fat bikes on the trails. Mountain bikes, cyclocross and hybrid bikes are suitable and these are great trails for kids or beginners who are just learning to negotiate and enjoy off road riding.
MSTF is made possible by community volunteer efforts, many generous landowners and contributions from users in the form of seasonal memberships and donations.  We rely on these memberships and donations so that we can continue to maintain our trails to the highest possible standard. We thank you for your support!
