History:
Lenord Robinson is the owner/operator of Blueberry Lake Cross Country Center which opened in 1993. Having grown up five miles from the center, he became a dairy farmer like his father. After farming he worked as a logger, an equipment operator, was the town road commissioner, ran an excavating company and some 30 years after that retired.
He probably works harder since he has retired, maintaining the Cross Country Center along with always being willing to help people whenever the need arises.
At 85 years, Lenord still skis as often as he can, and continues to participate in ski races every year.
His granddaughter, Jennifer Watkins, under his tutelage, went on to become a biathlete and competed in the Biathlon World Junior Championships in 1996.
An article written by Ski Vermont Magazine in the Winter of 2003 sums up Lenord's view: "Work hard, take care of people, enjoy life, don't fight over the cows. And for heaven's sake, if the good Lord gives you a few inches of snow, pile it up and pray that you won't need it!"
